Hause Müller − Spacious & Highly Comfortable

Haus Muller stood empty for seven years before we bought the house. For many years it was the home and office of doctors, then the last doctor decided to renovate the house and in the middle of the renovation moved overseas, leaving everything as is. With time everything was stolen, even the doors. It became a very distressed and shameful building for the town of Clanwilliam.

Driving past this house several times while still living in a neighbouring town, it felt that this house was calling me. It was just way over our budget to even go and look, but one day I gave in and went to see how it looked and instantly fell in love with the house. The moment I stepped in I felt very strongly that this house was calling me to make it a home again. With lots of negotiating not just with the owners, but also with my husband that grew up and lived in Citrusdal his whole life, we bought it and renovated it and moved to Clanwilliam.

For 8 years we made many many wonderful memories in this house. Loved entertaining friends and family, always a huge bunch visiting this very large house. When we decided to move we could not get it over our hearts to sell and then we decided to turn it into a guesthouse so we could afford to keep it.

My dream is that everyone who spends time here will experience the love we felt here and build their own beautiful memories.
